Custom-made test recently performed in our hydraulic laboratory. This test was conducted according to EN 1876-2/1998 Rubber or plastics coated fabrics – Low temperature tests - Part 2: Impact test on loop. Fabric samples are placed in an apparatus to form a loop. The apparatus is conditioned in a cold chamber during two hours. After this period, the loops are bent by the impact caused by the free fall of the hammer. The samples are then analysed with the help of a macroscope to see if they show signs of cracking.
