Magnetic testing is a method enabling to reveal surface or underlying indications in a ferromagnetic material either of simple or complex geometry and shape.
This process uses the properties of the magnetic fields: iron particles are spread out on the item and they will show specific indications about the surface by sticking to the perpendicular of the magnetic flux leakage.
