Assembling-> Friction welding

Friction Welding is a process in which the heat necessary to soften the components of a welded joint is provided by friction (element pressed by rotation on another fixed part).

The use of this process requires a rotating piece symmetrical to its rotation axle, but the fixed element can be of any shape.
